Andrew Davies
AGENCY OWNER
Not every insurance agent wears chainmail on the weekends, but Andrew does. A Navy veteran and Austin local since 2006, he proudly opened the doors to his Farmers Insurance agency on September 1, 2023, with one goal: to help his neighbors protect the people and things they love most.
When he’s not working with clients, you might find Andrew in full Viking gear at a reenactment, forging something new in his blacksmith shop, or cruising the streets in his 1949 Shoebox Ford. At home, life is happily chaotic with his wife, their son, two dogs, and two cats. Whether you need to protect your home, car, or business, Andrew will make sure you’re covered — and might even share a Viking story or two along the way.
Mckenzy McAuley
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Mckenzy entered the insurance industry with a clear goal: to help people truly understand the coverage they’re paying for. She believes insurance should never feel like a mystery—and takes pride in making sure clients know exactly what they’re getting before they need it.
Outside of the office, Mckenzy is a proud animal lover with a full house of furry (and scaly) family members—three dogs (Chloe, Baxter, and Baby Girl), four cats (Squeakers, Mazi, Luke, and Loki), and three bearded dragons (including Rusty, the beloved office pet). In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors and spending quality time with her family.
Gary Ottosi
AGENT PRODUCER
An insurance agent who believes in keeping things clear, straightforward, and personal. He loves helping people make sense of their coverage and finding solutions that truly fit their lives. When he’s not working with clients, you might find him watching classic ’70s and ’80s genre films, stepping back in time as a Viking reenactor, or diving into his love of music. At home, life is happily shared with his wife Lisa, their three cats—Cosmo, Ylva, and Astrid—and their dog, Clementine.
Jay Kopita
AGENT PRODUCER
Jay became part of the Davies Agency family in fall 2023, bringing decades of sales and customer service know-how with him. He’s passionate about helping people protect what matters most, whether that’s through personal, commercial, or life insurance. A proud graduate of the University of Minnesota, Jay believes in making the insurance process clear, stress-free, and maybe even a little enjoyable. When he’s not working with clients, you’ll find him traveling, playing music, hitting the gym, spending time with his family and pets, or building LEGO creations with his son.
Rusty
HEAD OF SECURITY (AND HEAD TILTING)
Rusty is our resident Bearded Dragon and unofficial guardian of the office. As Head of Security, he keeps a close eye on daily operations—usually from the comfort of his favorite basking spot. While his intense stare may seem judgmental, we assure you he’s just deep in thought (probably about lunch).
When he’s not soaking up the rays under his heat lamp, Rusty enjoys snacking on crunchy bugs and maintaining his reputation as the most stoic member of the team. His calm demeanor and subtle head tilts remind us all to stay cool under pressure… and maybe enjoy a little more sun.
